I found this circuit from the Russian websites, and perhaps converter circuit is interesting. This circuit can convert 5 V to 230 V. It may be bit difficult to build, because as you can see in the schematic, most semiconductor components are made by Russia. But probably with a bit of surfing you can find references part.
